Kristen Thomas, Program Director

Kristen Thomas is passionate about raising awareness and being involved with the CHD community after her daughter Amayha went undiagnosed for 11 months with a congenital heart defect. Amayha was born without a right pulmonary artery and was a very sick little girl her first 11 months of life. She has proven to be a fighter and has pulled through 2 open heart surgeries and several procedures and surgeries at the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital to get her where she is today. Her future is not as simple as most with an unsure “next step” and a lot of trial and error. Amayha is what makes Kristen even more of a supporter for children and families affected by CHD. Kristen dedicates much of her free time to Lasting Imprint to raise awareness and support that is needed in the community. During the week Kristen is a Dental Assistant and, most importantly, a mom to Landon, Amayha, Paxton and wife to Brandon.
