Felicia Burgess, Board Member

Felicia and her husband, Garrett, went through what was supposed to be a normal, healthy, happy, baby birth. Instead it turned into a breathless whirlwind of events immediately following the birth of their son, Ezra. He was born with an undiagnosed congenital heart defect, an Interrupted Aortic Arch and an Aortopulmonary Window. Ezra was also born with a diagnosed bilateral complete cleft lip and palate. He has gone through a total of two heart surgeries and one lip repair. A second oral repair of his palate is scheduled late December of 2018. Felicia felt that what they had gone through with there son, not knowing how strong of a community there was about CHD’s, she wanted to give back to the community. She happened to come across Lasting Imprint through a volunteer sign-up sheet at her husband’s work. She wants to be able to share their experience to help and support other families in need in such uncontrollable circumstances. Between Doctor appointments and spending time with her family and friends she is a Dental Assistant at Southern Minnesota Periodontics P.A.. She resides in Janesville. Felicia is excited to see what’s in store being on the board of Lasting Imprint!
