Rachel became involved in the CHD community after her daughter was diagnosed with Scimitar Syndrome at 10 months old. Her daughter has undergone 2 open heart surgeries and numerous other procedures so far at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota.
When not volunteering for Lasting Imprint as the Newsletter Editor and Web Administrator, Rachel spends her day’s being a child care provider and planning her local town’s summer festival. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, going camping, reading, and being outdoors. Rachel is honored to a part of an organization committed to helping families dealing with the effects of CHD and wishes Lasting Imprint existed when she first started the CHD journey.
